Super Fun

I am so thrilled at how well my custom super hero/prince/princess capes have been selling. They are so much fun to make and I just love putting fun fabrics together. Seriously, every time I finish a cape it makes me smile. I tried to narrow down the amount of pictures I put in this post, but it was super hard. If you want to see even more that I have finished recently you can check out my album by clicking here. And if you want more info on ordering you can send me a message or see my etsy listing.

Super C and Pinning

I started out really not liking to pin the fabric together. After this last project though, I have kind of gotten into a groove with it and now I don’t mind it at all. With each project I do I need to keep reminding myself to slow down and have patience. Sometimes I get a little impatient and try to cut corners which only leads to frustration and ends up taking longer.

I didn’t have a pattern or tutorial for this, but remember the capes I had made for my kiddos a while back? (I had come up with the idea and asked someone to sew them for me.) So now I know how to sew, and did this one myself! Yeah!!!

I had orignally bought this fabric to make a dress for Evangeline, but between my sewing machine breaking, not really knowing how to sew, and Andrew not liking the color combo, I never got around to it. I love how the colors go together especially for this project!

Happy Birthday Little C!

Tutus and Hairbows

The other day during an episode of Heroes I decided to work on some new hairbows. Miracle needed a few new ones and I figured since I was in the mood I would make a few to sell at the Oakwood Bazaar as well.

After I made them I was trying to brainstorm ways to display them at my table. I have been meaning to make Miracle a tutu bow holder for a while now and figured I could make it for my display and then she can use it when I’m done. Yeah! Now I just have to figure out how I’m going to hang it at my table.

A Castle for the Princess

Remember grocery bag full of vinyl? I’m pretty sure I could have stuffed more in there but I still got a lot.

Notice the Lovely Shiny Pink!

And although I am still disappointed with the lack of girly colors I was very excited when I picked up a roll of brown and two sheets of pink fell out! I’m pretty sure I’ll have enough to do both my girls’ rooms now. Here is the stash after I organized it by color and seperated out what I was using for each of the bedrooms.

And then I spent the rest of the day planning and cutting for Miracle’s room. After I had it all cut I got a little nervous about how it was going to come together but I think it turned out amazing. Not to mention this was my first time doing anything like this!

Excuse all the pictures but I wanted you to get the full project. I was going to take pictures of the application process but everyone was asleep. Well, except Miracle who stayed up until midnight with me! The last picture is of her bedding which is what I designed the whole scene after.

Card of the Day:

I love this one. I’m trying to make a lot of the cards with a fall and winter theme/colors since that is when I plan on selling them.
