Super Fun

I am so thrilled at how well my custom super hero/prince/princess capes have been selling. They are so much fun to make and I just love putting fun fabrics together. Seriously, every time I finish a cape it makes me smile. I tried to narrow down the amount of pictures I put in this post, but it was super hard. If you want to see even more that I have finished recently you can check out my album by clicking here. And if you want more info on ordering you can send me a message or see my etsy listing.

The Evangeline

I just absolutely love this dress. I’ll apologize right now for all the pictures in this post…

It doesn’t help that my model is so stinkin cute!

When I first started looking for dress patterns I didn’t really care for this one at all, but I saw someone wearing something similar and decided to try it out. I love it and everything about it! It is so feminine and lovely and the big bow on the back is dreamy.

The Evangeline was made from this tutorial from Sew Happy by Carrie and I was impressed with the tutorial and pattern, as well as the excellent communication from Carrie. Please know that the sizes do run large though!

The Evangeline. Sizes 18months- 5T. $35

Fantastic Custom Order

I had a custom order this past week that I am so excited about! My customer asked for me to sew her something she could put a notepad and pen into.  I absolutely loved the result!

There is a large pocket, small pocket, and two spaces for pens. I am going to make another one for myself and use it for grocery shopping. I can put my notebook into the large pocket and my coupons into the smaller one. (I’m not such a super couponer yet that I would need more than that. I am playing around with a coupon organizer idea though.)

And, I have a custom order to make two more (one for business cards and one for a passport). I went to the fabric store and bought a bunch of different fabrics. There were a ton on sale and I may have went a little overboard. Miracle was with me and she kept saying, “ohhh, I just love that one.” Fun!

(I listed this in my Etsy shop if you are interested or you can contact me if you want one.)

Also, Axel and Miracle had a birthday party last weekend for our not so little anymore buddy Jack. The kids choose bean bags for his gift and even though I’ve done them a couple times as gifts I agreed. My kids love their bean bags and play with them almost every day. I was running low on boyish fabric, but don’t worry I picked up a few more!

New Camera and the Return of Pictures

I finally got a new camera. It is so pretty and pink. My old camera was accidentally left somewhere and someone decided to take it home with them 😦  Life goes on. The new camera is a Kodak Easyshare same as my old one. Just a different model, and it has some cool new features I am excited to play with.

So now I can take pictures of all the projects I have been working on the last couple of weeks! I have gotten a lot done and am excited to share them with you.

Card of the Day:

This is a custom order from one of my good friends. She needed some gift cards for her massage therapy business. I love how they turned out!

LoveAlways, XOX

I am so excited to dedicate a whole post to my etsy shop! I have been including little bits and pieces throughout my previous blogs but I want you all to know that I do in fact have an online store!

I started out by creating with my sister-in-law when we worked together on our Retied materials for the Funky Barn Boutique. We created belts, purses, bracelets and more from upcycled neckties. I then added my curtain tiebacks

When the Funky Barn was no more 😦 I just stopped because I didn’t have another place to sell my stuff. Enter Etsy. I just love it! I have added much more to my store including gift and shop tags, die cuts, cards and cardsets, paper dolls, onesies, tutus, magnets and more. I have also started making altered clipboards but right now they are custom order only and I am not selling them on etsy. You can contact me if you would like one!

My shop name came from the way some sign the end of letters and cards. I wanted it to reflect a little of me and my product. I love the color pink and hearts and all things girly so it just seemed a natural fit! I do most of my work from my home studio which is basically the space I overtook in my husbands music room. Whoops!

Inspiration mostly comes from my kids and family. I usually start with an idea for one of my kids and then branch out from there. My tutus started because I wanted one for my daughter and couldn’t afford any of the ones out there. They have been one of my best sellers! I really want to offer buyers an exceptional, boutique product at a non-boutique price. I heart custom orders and have done many items custom including tag sets, shower invitations, thank you cards, onesies, tutus….

When I’m not creating or cleaning I enjoy loving on my husband and babies, scrapbooking, photography, music and pretty much anything that involves my family or friends!

My best seller has by far been my tag sets. I have had many custom orders and repeat customers. My husband is constantly asking me what people are using them for! They are great for gifts, party favors, scrapbook journaling, shop items and more.

Now you can have a chance to win some and figure out some of your own uses. LoveAlways, XOX will be sending a goody bag to one lucky winner! Included will be one round fall tag set, one bold and beautiful tag set (the most popular set, and the last one), two cards and one Retied bracelet. Over a $12 value. Wohoo!

To enter:

  • go and look at LoveAlways, XOX
  • choose your favorite item
  • leave a comment here with your pick
  • don’t forget your e-mail address so I can contact you

The winner will be randomly chosen. Good luck to you all! Please, only one entry per person to make it fair. I will announce the winner Monday morning! If winner does not respond within 48 hours a new winner will be chosen.
